Game Demo: Mystic Forest

Mystic forest a a game Demo for a puzzle game created in Unity, currently containing 6 levels. The player chracter traverses the forest finding different elemental stones that will unlock new ways to interact with their environment. 

I created a tilesheet in unity to make 6 different environments that the player could explore, each different but alike in their design. The player would have to figure out how to use their skills to reach the end of the level. The current project is ongoing but a demo is available to play here

Underwater VR

For this project I teamed up with my peers Ryam Ibrar and Lauren Hodgson to create an underwater interactive scene using Unreal Engine on the MetaQuest VR headset. I was responsible for Modeling our player companion character, a fellow diver who would follow you around and you explore the area. 

The video below show my process in how I created this character. Using a Metahuman model I created and customizing their textures and animations. Later going into Unreal to program the character to follow around the player.

Motion Capture

For this project I created a short cutscene in Unreal Engine using Motion Capture, Face Scanning, and special effects. 
 

The Metahuman for this scene was created by taking a scan of my face and recording my facial expressions to rig the character's face. I animated the model using motion capture technology using myself as the model. The environment was created using Bridge assets and all other effects were modified in Unreal Engine.

Her Wish

Her Wish is a Action/Puzzle rpg where you play as Vou. A small child who's home has fallen victim to the withering. Your mother's final wish is to plant the sapling she gifted you in her old homeland. This demo runs through the first level of the game and it's basic mechanics, such as platforming, turn based spatial combat, and some puzzles.

My contributions to the team were primarilty management focused. For many of the member this was their first experience in developing a game. Some contributions include:

  • Establishing a realistic timeline and managing team collaboration

  • Periodically checking in on members and providing feedback on how to fit their work into the game

  • Level Design and overall game flow

  • Programming game mechanics such as platforming, inventory management and shaders

  • Implementing cutscenes 

  • Some minor 3d modeling work
